5 'Fit Friday 10/23/20
Another edition of 5 ‘Fit Fridays. Generated by the algorithm that exists between the synapses in the brains of Skatelier’s team of skilled artisans.

Josh Velez is a fav here at Skatelier and we were excited to see him release a free-flowing, long-form video experience for his B-day. The griptape is the grill used to cook up some White/Cement Jordan 3s. He continues using the Jumpman to facilitate some of the more outlandish slappy combos in skateboarding. Patch-on when it comes to the oversized Stone Island shorts. Jersey (or just tank?) over a tee!? That’s elevated athleisure. Always exceptional output (and outfits) from this dude.

Andrew Allen always looks like he spends 20 hours a week at Goodwill coming up with absolutely pinnacle normcore ‘fits. It’s a nuanced thing…finding the right cuts and combos and then adding extra spice with tee tucks and cut hems etc. Here we’ve got him with some shorts cut to a custom 6.125” inseam with the printed polo. Something about trading out white laces for black in a pair of canvas Vans hits the spot as well.

Speaking of black laces in Vans, our team of homely craftspeople were introduced to Mauro Ruberto via a new Place Mag part this week. Coke-white tee under a paisley-print sudadero vest is a big look! A gold chain and some reg-fit black trousers complete the vibe. Definitely worth giving this part a look. Tasteful trick selection…

Namu Shop is on Skatelier’s list of favorite clothing destinations. They hold it down with a tightly-curated brand list and precision-edited selections. This shot from their AW18 editorial was pinned up on our mood board when it came out and has been burned into our brains ever since. Cropped chestnut trousers and a densely-knit turtle neck are already hitting, but the geometrically-quilted Ts(s) tee is just ridiculous.

Nate Jones is gonna go down as one of the best to ever do it, style-wise. He stretched a small handful of tricks into a couple parts that will be revisited time and time again. The long sleeve tee is a unique camo blend that hits harder than your average real-tree. Spitfire making fire denims seems kinda out of left field, but the cut, wash, and pocket detailing on these looks pretty exquisite. The team at Skatelier holds a daily prayer circle in hopes that Gaia grants our people a proper I-path reboot so you know we’re feeling the pebble leather Grasshoppers with straps swanging. The cigarette is the cherry on top. Backside tailsliding a round bar into a steep hill with a dart in hand? Immaculate.
